ABOUT DIEGO
Diego Rocha, the Brazilian born handbag designer started out in accounting in the financial field in Sao Paulo, before he began chasing his dream. Fashion is in Diego's genes. His mother was a pattern-maker, and he grew up playing with needles, scissors, and colorful scraps of cloth. It's only natural that the fashion industry called to him. Diego is inspired by interesting skins and animals, influenced by growing up in a country known for its huge variety of unusual wildlife.
Before choosing Chicago in 2005, Diego lived in New York where he perfected his skills. Creating his own collection, he locked himself in his apartment for six months and experimented with materials, struggling with unsuitable equipment as he taught himself techniques to crystallize his vision. This devotion to his craft shines through every Diego Rocha design.
Each Diego Rocha creation is a work of art, planned and built up carefully, to bring out shine and class to any occasion. Diego personally handpick the raw material, vivid, exclusive patterns, and exquisite colors and does himself all the steps of the process, paying attention to every detail. That's what makes each bag a unique, one-of-a-kind piece of craftsmanship.
